Learn About the Halls
Located conveniently on campus, the modern residence halls offer comfortable living and a friendly atmosphere. Each wing is staffed with a Resident Assistant (RA) to help each resident adjust to campus life, provide security, and lend a helping hand. Schilling Hall lobby offers an information desk for phone directory assistance, vacuums, and other items available to check out. The desk can be reached at 785-819-7248, and is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Each hall offers Ethernet connections, extended basic cable service, state of the art computer labs, and friendly courteous staff. The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) is an on-call, live-on professional staff member with a master's degree in college student affairs.

Residence Life has many employment opportunities through out the year. Each school year resident assistants and Reception Desk Assistants (RDA) are hired. The application process begins in early February and announcements are made at the beginning of April. During the summer, several positions are open for Summer Conference Assistants (SCA). The SCA provides support to the summer residents much like a RA would during the year, but also helps with conferences the university may host during the summer. Compensation for the RDA, RA, and SCA are minimum wage. RAs and SCA are also provided room and board stipends. To inquire about these positions please contact the office at 785-826-2957.
